Giulio Paci, Telecommunications Engineer, is a researcher and an enterpreneur with interest in NLP, speech processing and computer science. He received MSc degree in Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Padova in 2006. He has been working at the Italian National Research Counseil from 2007 to 2008 and, later, from 2011 to 2014, conducting research on Text-To-Speech synthesis, Speech recognition and Facial Animation. From 2008 to 2011 he joined the Knowledge and Data Minining group at CINECA, a hyper-computing center in Italy, where he conducted research on Speaker Diarization and Document Summarisation (including Topic classification, Named Entity Recognition, Shallow Parsing, Keyword extraction, Ontology Concept linking, Ontology-based search engine) and developed several proof-of-concepts that lead to commercial products. In 2013 he founded Mivoq SRL, a Text-to-Speech company specialised in automatic custom TTS voice creation. In 2017 he started a part-time collaboration with IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele, where he has been working as a developer of experimental Cyber Physical Systems.
