Lymphocyte Activation
Anna Mondino
Anna Mondino obtained a Master degree in Biological Sciences and a PhD degree in Oncology from the University of Torino. As a student she trained in Cell Biology and Oncology at the University of Torino (1986-1990) and at the New York Medical School (1991-1992), and then in Immunology, as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Minnesota (1993-1998). Since 1999 she is the Head of the Lymphocyte Activation Unit within the Division of Immunology, Transplantation and Infectious Diseases at IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele in Milan, Italy. Her goal is to perform cutting edge biomedical research on topics relevant to human diseases and provide advanced training to national and international research fellows. Her research interests are focused on the cellular and molecular events critical to T-cell mediated immunity for the clinical implementation of T cell therapy against solid tumors (ORCID ID: 0000-0003-0833-6927). She trained more than 35 fellows, including undergraduate and graduate students and postdoctoral fellows.
