A research hospital

Campus

IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele covers a total area of more than 290,000 square meters. Eleven buildings surround a open-air space with a garden, a restauration facility for the employees and the underground shopping center.

Buildings from A to R, together with DIMER, host the hospital departments and clinical laboratories, while DIBIT1, DIBIT2 and San Michele buildings host research laboratories and the university teaching classes, as well as the university and hospital direction.

The campus organization mirrors the hospital mission and contributes to its unicity: a unique place where medicine is studied, practiced and improved at the same time. At Ospedale San Raffaele physicians, researchers and students share not only organized spaces and moments, but also free time and informal talks.

Ospedale San Raffaele is a unique place, where bio-medicine research, practice and training interact on a daily basis, fostering innovation and new ideas.
