Cinzia Sala is a staff scientist with strong experiences in clinical and genealogical data collection and storage. In the Division of Genetics and Cell Biology, at IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele, she has contributed to the collection of clinical data and to the genealogy reconstruction of the Val Borbera isolated population, a project aimed at the identification of rare variants associated with complex phenotypes. Now in the Center for Omics Sciences at IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele, she is contributing to the development of a framework that would enable clinicians to seamlessly collect and combine different kinds of clinical data from well characterized patients allowing a better use of fully-qualified data in clinical research projects. She is also working as Project Manager for the awarded Cancer Research UK Accelerator Programme: “Single-cell cancer evolution in the clinic”.

She holds a BSc in Biological Science and a Post-graduate Diploma in Genetics from University of Pavia (Italy). Since 1992, she has been working as Group Leader or Senior Staff Scientist at IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele and GlaxoSmithKline (Verona, Italy).
