Allergy is the phenotypic expression of a dysfunctional immune response, implying reactivity to antigens, called allergens, which per se are harmless to the host.

Our group is engaged in the characterization of immuno-dominance of individual components from complex allergenic sources and in the study of the spreading of the allergic response from single allergens to multiple allergens, in parallel with the clinical evolution of the so called “allergy march”.
