Biomedical engineer, Center for advanced technology in health and wellbeing

Leporini Alice, Biomedical Engineer, received her MSc degree in Biomedical Engineering  at the University “Politecnico di Milano”.  Previously, she worked as a research fellow at the Grigioni’s Foundation in Milan and successively at the University Hospital of Wuerzburg (Germany). She was involved in the evaluation of gait and posture and the study of electromyography in patients with Parkinson’s disease, Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia and Essential Tremor.  She won a scholarships at the Politecnico di Milano for the realization of a knee biomechanical didactic module and knee endoprosthesis function for the European Leonardo-Long Life Learning program Biomechanics4rehab. Her research interests include kinematic, dynamic and muscular activity data acquisition and elaboration with infrared-based optoelectronic and electromyography systems.

Since February 2018, she is working at IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele in the Center for advanced technology in health and wellbeing, cooperating in the H2020, participating to scientific research and technical activities. Her fields of investigation are human-robot interaction and robotic surgery, process reengineering, patient safety, risk analysis and applications for health and wellbeing user modelling.
