ALEMBIC
Euro-BioImaging consortium
Euro-BioImaging is now legally recognised as a European research infrastructure for state-of-the-art imaging services in biological and biomedical research. Euro-BioImaging offers life scientists open access to imaging instruments, expertise, training opportunities, and data management services that they do not find at their home institutions or among their collaboration partners. All scientists, regardless of affiliation, area of expertise, or field of activity, can benefit from these pan-European open access services.
Euro-BioImaging provides advanced imaging services through its imaging facility Nodes, which are distributed across the Euro-BioImaging’s 15 founding members: Austria, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, EMBL, Finland, France, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Norway, Netherlands, Portugal, Sweden, and the UK.
Alembic as a member
The Italian ALM Node is a large multi-modal and multi-sited Node that comprises five imaging facilities located in Naples, Genoa, Padua, Florence and Milan. These facilities have a long-standing experience of mutual interaction and collaboration. The activities of the Node are coordinated by the Institute of Protein Biochemistry, CNR, Naples. Each location provides access to a wide range of technologies, but is also highly specialized in specific technologies.
As part of the Euro-BioImaging Italian Node, Alembic offers a complete service package, assisting users in all phases of the project: from the experimental design, throughout the development of the research, up to image analysis, statistics and visualization.
To date, Alembic has provided more than 20 projects to national and international users within the framework of Euro-BioImaging interim activity (more than 10 euro-BioImaging projetcs accomplished)
The access procedure is 4 step procedure and is reported in the Euro-BioImaging page “How to access Euro-BioImaging technologies”
Euro-BioImaging strongly recommends contacting the facility of interest before submitting an application.
