Chiara Ansermino
Dr. Ansermino got her bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology at the Università del Piemonte Orientale (Novara, Italy) in 2018 with a thesis aiming at characterizing a novel in vitro model of sarcopenia based on the accelerated aged phenotype obtained in mice by transplanting senescent preadipocytes. In 2023, she got her master’s in Medical Biotechnologies at the Università del Piemonte Orientale (Novara, Italy). She did her internship at the Proteomic and Metabolomics Facility (ProMeFa), guided by Dr Annapaola Andolfo, where she worked on her master’s thesis focused on the application of untargeted LC-MS/MS analysis for the metabolomic profiling of extracellular vesicles derived from EPS-urine of prostate cancer patients. In 2023, she had the opportunity to join, for three months, Prof. Oscar Yanes's laboratory in Tarragona, where she applied the Hermes-implemented data-dependent analysis (DDA) to her thesis project. From November 2023, she started her PhD in “Food Health and Longevity Studies” at the Università del Piemonte Orientale (Novara, Italy), and she’s doing her research project “Study on the effect of LKB1 inactivation on NSCLC’s tumour microenvironment and its role in influencing cancer aggressiveness” at ProMeFa improving her knowledge on proteomics and metabolomics.
