Andrea Brendolan trained in Immunology at Stanford and in Developmental Biology at Weill Medical Centre of Cornell University in New York. Since 2008, he has been a group leader in the Department of Experimental Oncology at the San Raffaele Scientific Institute in Milan, Italy. Research in his group focuses on understanding the origin and function of lymphoid tissue stromal cells in physiology and cancer and on translating basic principles of lymphoid organogenesis to generate synthetic lymphoid microenvironments for applications in oncology and regenerative medicine. His laboratory utilizes multidisciplinary approaches ranging from mouse genetics to multi-omics approaches and imaging in conjunction with 3x vivo dynamic 3D lymphoid microenvironments.
