Simone Cardaci

Dr. Simone Cardaci is the principal investigator of the Cancer Metabolism Research Unit at the IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele (HSR), since 2018. He is a biochemist with research interests in cancer and immunometabolism fields. He acquired trained expertise in metabolomics and stable isotopic labelling approaches based on liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) during a successful long-term postdoctoral training at the CRUK Beatson Institute in Glasgow (UK), under the supervision of Prof. Eyal Gottlieb, world leader expert in cancer metabolism research area. He is involved as student supervisor in the PhD program in Molecular Medicine at the University Vita-Salute San Raffaele (UniSR). He teaches courses on metabolism in cancer and immunity as well as biochemistry at the UniSR and Humanitas University.
