Dr. Giorgio Orofino is a Hematology-Oncology Fellow at Università Vita-Salute San Raffaele in Milan, Italy, and a PhD candidate in the Physician Scientist program. His clinical and research work focuses on hematologic malignancies, bone marrow transplantation, and cellular therapies.

His research involves the analysis of omics data—such as transcriptomics—in patients with relapsed leukemia, aiming to better understand the biological mechanisms behind relapse. Dr. Orofino has developed specialized competence in managing patients with autoimmune disorders, particularly those undergoing advanced immunomodulatory or cellular therapies. His work bridges hematology and immunology, emphasizing cell-based treatments in complex immune-mediated diseases and leukemia. This integrated approach supports both his clinical practice and translational research, aiming to improve outcomes for patients with challenging immune and hematologic conditions.
