Dr Quattrini served at IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele (OSR) for 22 years as a Neurologist and Neuropathologist. He was trained as a neuropathologist first with Dr. Nemni at OSR, and later with Prof Hays and Prof. Latov at Columbia University in New York. He became an expert in pathological aspects of the human neuropathies and Motor Neuron Diseases. He contributed to build the Nerve Biopsy Service at OSR, and since 2001 he is its director. In addition, he pioneered the use of motor nerve biopsies for the diagnosis of motor neuropathies. Since 1993, he developed an interest in experimental models of neuropathies. The main scientific contributions of Dr. Quattrini are in the fields of Motor Neuron Diseases, peripheral neuropathies and nerve regeneration. He is author of 133 papers, Hindex 47, 7156 citations (Google Scholar).
