Angela Gritti has a degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Milan, where she also specialized in Toxicology. After a short experience abroad at the Foothills Hospital of Calgary (Canada), where she took part at the first studies on adult neural stem cells, she returned to Italy and obtained her PhD from the University of Turin. At present, Angela Gritti coordinates a research laboratory at SR-Tiget studying lysosomal storage disorders (such as metachromatic leukodystrophy, Krabbe disease and GM2 gangliosidosis), aiming at understanding their pathological mechanisms and investigating effective gene and cell therapy strategies to treat them.
