After having graduated in Medical Biotechnology with Dr. Sica and Prof. Mantovani in 2003, Matias got his Ph.D. in Molecular Medicine in 2008 with a thesis on Epigenetic Therapies at the European Institute of Oncology, supervised by Prof. Minucci and Prof. Pelicci. Then he had several postdoctoral experiences at TUV-Klinikum Rech Der Isar in Munich, Spedali Civili in Brescia, San Raffaele Hospital, Humanitas Research Hospital, and Bicocca University in Milan, facing projects on Immunology, Tumor Immunology and Cancer Stem Cells biology. In 2018 he started a different career path, accepting a position as Head of the Pharma Toxicology laboratory at Eurofins Biolab, leading the team performing GMP quality control on marketed drugs and getting trained in Team Leadership, Lean Management e Agile Thinking. Putting together both his experiences in Academic Research and GXP laboratory management, Matias has been enrolled to coordinate the SR-Tiget Clinical Lab in February 2020.
