The Endoscopic and stones diseases group encompasses the field of endourology, consisting of the minimally invasive treatments of urinary stones and low-risk upper tract urothelial carcinoma (UTUC)
Research Activity mostly deals with: i) studies on of new Laser technologies for the lithotripsy of urinary stones and the photoablation of UTUC; ii) study on the natural history of asymptomatic residual fragments following minimally invasive treatments of urinary stones; and, iii) study on the metabolic factors involved in the pathophysiological mechanism of urolithiasis.
