ASCO CONGRESS: PRESENTED THE RESULTS OF THE CASSANDRA STUDY, WHICH COULD CHANGE THE GUIDELINES FOR PANCREATIC CANCER TREATMENT
The Italian phase 3 randomized, multicenter CASSANDRA study, recently presented at the annual meeting of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) in Chicago and entirely funded by patient associations, involved 17 hospitals in Italy. The study focused on the preoperative treatment of patients with non-metastatic pancreatic cancer and showed improved outcomes compared to the current standard of care.

Cadherin 17 is a new target for the efficient and safe treatment of colorectal cancer liver metastases using CAR-T cell therapy
In a study published in Science Translational Medicine, researchers from the Innovative Immunotherapies Lab, led by Doctor Monica Casucci at IRCCS San Raffaele Hospital, have identified the adhesion molecule cadherin 17 as a novel, cancer-specific antigen to treat liver metastases in colorectal cancer using CAR-T cells.
