Elisa Benetti is a Computational Biologist at the Center for Omics Sciences, IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele, Milan (Italy) and at the Pediatric Immuno-Hematology Unit directed by Alessandro Aiuti.

Her areas of expertise concern analysis of Whole genome/exome data for rare genetic diseases for which a molecular cause is often not yet established.

She graduated in Biotechnology at the University of Pisa and obtained a master's degree in Medical Biotechnologies in 2017 at the University of Siena.

In 2021, she earned a PhD in Bioinformatics in the Doctorate of Medical Genetics, Oncology and Clinical Medicine at the University of Siena, analyzing genomic data with special focus on rare diseases and complex/multifactorial disorders (e.g., COVID-19).
