Chiara Balestrieri is a bioinformatician at IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele (Milan) in Chiara Bonini’s Lab (Experimental Hematology Unit) and she is part of the Immunogenomics Lab research area, at the Center for Omics Sciences. She collaborates with wet-lab researchers on projects focused on liver metastases that arise from colorectal and pancreatic ductal adenocarcinomas, especially on the study of the anti-tumoral immune response and analyzing data from Next-Generation Sequencing technologies.

She holds an MSc in Bioinformatics and a PhD in Biotechnology from Università degli Studi di Milano-Bicocca (Italy). She previously worked as Post-Doctoral Researcher at the European Institute of Oncology (IEO) and Humanitas University. Her post-doctoral studies focused on the study of epigenomics and transcriptomics in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinomas.
