Lymphocyte Activation
Anna Mondino
Anna Mondino obtained a master’s degree in biology and a PhD in Oncology from the University of Torino. As a PhD student and then as postdoctoral fellow she worked at the New York University in New York and at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA. Her training allowed her to acquire expertise in cellular and molecular mechanisms subtending tumor and immune cell behaviors. Thanks to a New Unit start Grant of the Italian Association for Cancer research she joined the San Raffaele Scientific Institute and founded the Lymphocyte Activation Unit to exploit T cells against solid tumors. Anna contributed to PhD and postdoctoral Programs, and launched the Milan Meets Immunology Annual Meeting. She served in the Seminar Committee and in the Committee for Appointment and Promotion, and as reviewer for international journals and grant funding agencies. She is member of scientific societies and of the Italian Network for Immunobiotherapy (NIBIT) and serves as Ambassador for the Italian Association for Cancer Research.
