Bladder cancer
Bladder cancer Unit is dedicated to the analysis and research of oncological and functional outcomes of patients diagnosed and treated for urothelial cancer. The group focuses on both NMIBC and muscle invasive bladder cancer with an increased interest on minimally invasive surgery. Moreover, the group investigated several potential factors associated with the development and progression of urothelial cancer.
The Bladder cancer Unit developed one of the world largest database for patients diagnosed with urothelial cancer, with the peculiarity of a longitudinal, prospective database that integrates clinical activities with research information. The Bladder cancer Unit has a strong collaboration with well- known oncologic centers and it is involved in several clinical trials for patients diagnosed with urothelial cancer
