Fellowship at the Emerging Bacterial Pathogens Unit
IRCCS San Raffaele Scientific Institute in Milan, Italy, is looking for a highly motivated candidate to pursue a fellowship at the Emerging Bacterial Pathogens Unit, under the supervision of Dr. Nicola Lorè. The Emerging Bacterial Pathogens Unit, led by Dr. Daniela Cirillo is part of the WHO Supranational Reference Laboratories for TB Control.
The fellow will join us on a project in the field of host-pathogen interaction during chronic respiratory infection by nontuberculous mycobacteria (NTM), with a particular attention on antimicrobials therapy. They will work on a project funded by the Joint Programming Initiative on Antimicrobial Resistance (JPIAMR). This project aims at exploring the optimization of antibiotic treatments during chronic respiratory infections, implementing combinatorial approaches.
The ideal candidate will have:
- graduate degree in biology/biotechnology or related discipline
- research experience in competitive laboratories
- experience with in vitro (bacteria) and in vivo experiments (mouse model of infection)
